In October, Prof. Alain Hendlisz (Hôpital Universitaire de Bruxelles (H.U.B) – Academisch Ziekenhuis Brussel (H.U.B) Prof. Ivan Borbath (Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc) hosted a practice-sharing workshop in digestive oncology at Cafés Delahaut in Namur.
🧬 The evening started with the importance of molecular profiling in digestive cancer, presented by Prof. Karin Dahan from Institut de Pathologie et de Génétique (IPG) followed by a cholangiocarcinoma case discussion from Prof. Anne Demols (Hôpital Erasme – Cliniques Universitaires de Bruxelles) and Dr. Astrid Decuyper (Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc).
👴 The other interesting topic Dr. Catherine Magnette (Centre Hospitalier Régional Sambre et Meuse (CHRSM)) brought to life was the delicate balance to be considered when treating frail cancer patients. Two practice examples were presented by Dr. Quentin Gilliaux and Dr. Jean-Charles Goeminne (both from CHU UCL Namur).
